You deserve to be seen and heard.

About Me

Growing up, I was drawn to the natural world and the ways that humans shape it and are shaped by it. Over time, I grew to focus more on the inner lives of people and how systems (societal structures, history and families etc.) shape each one of us. As a Social Worker, I keep these structures and their influence in mind as we sit together. I hope to recognize your whole self.

In the counseling process, we’ll come together to try to figure out how to make your life lighter and more joyful. My approach integrates polyvagal theory, emotionally focused therapy, parts work, mindfulness, EMDR and person-centered therapy. Together, we will discover which strategies and tools are helpful to support you through whatever you are facing. We’ll work on enhancing your strengths to boost your confidence. Ultimately, it’s my hope that you’ll deepen your connection to your authentic self so that you’ll feel more comfortable in your skin and shine your light into the world.

When I’m not working, I might be exploring a trail in the mountains, dancing, biking around town, enjoying delicious home-cooked meals or spending time with my friends and family.

A Relational Approach

All good therapy starts with a strong therapeutic relationship. That’s why it’s essential that we work to establish a strong relational base that feels safe for you to show up as your authentic self. We will build trust through exploring what helps you feel emotionally safe in relationships.

Once we’ve established a base of trust and rapport, we’ll have an opportunity to examine how you show up in other relationships in your life. If there are relational patterns that are not serving you, we’ll build supportive strategies to advocate for your needs. Sometimes, we’ll focus on strategies to set boundaries both tactfully and assertively. Other times, we may focus on ways of communicating needs more clearly and finding compromises to ensure everyones’ needs are met. By strengthening your relationships, you’re building support and resilience to face whatever challenges come your way.
